The word undercurrent evokes an image of quiet, unseen forces moving beneath the surface—natural flows that shape and sustain larger systems. Like water coursing beneath rivers and oceans, communities have their own undercurrents: the exchanges of information, the unseen efforts, and the quiet connections that sustain and strengthen us.

This platform is designed to tap into those undercurrents within our local dance and arts community—a place for information to flow, for connections to spark, and for resources to circulate. It has the potential to be a powerful resource, but its strength lies in how it serves you, the community.

How do you imagine engaging with this platform?

• Should it lean toward being a space for community contributions, where everyone’s voice is part of the current?

• Or should it focus on being a curated resource, offering streamlined, reliable information for all?

• Would you be interested in conversations here? Interviews with local artists? If so, who do you want to hear from?

And perhaps most importantly: Who are you?
Are you creating work? Are you producing it? Who is producing it? Where are you finding funding? These are the kinds of stories and information that not only reflect our community but also support other local artists navigating similar paths.

This platform is here to reflect and amplify the undercurrents of our community—your experiences, your insights, your connections—and to bring to the surface the magical, as well as the practical and logistical, secrets of the production process and resource.
